Canaqua Sports – 10 years and counting

Canaqua Sports is an events marketing company that runs open water swim, Swimrun, and other events and training programs throughout the summer months across North America and beyond. Our goal is to offer top quality programs for all who are interested in joining us. Our events range from beginner to elite, with distances from 1K for our swimming events to 35 K for our Swimrun events.

After testing the U.S. market in 2024 with 2 events in Indiana, 2025 is looking to be a great season with new events not only in the United States, but also in the United Kingdom. Along with this growth, it is with great pleasure that we introduce MUDSKIPPER EVENTS , the name we will be using for all of our international events. We will continue to use Mudskipper Swimrun along with the Canaqua Sports Open Water Swim Series as our primary events within Canada.

As a Canadian Company it is important that we keep our local events as a Canadian entity. For this reason, we have branded Mudskipper as the name for our swimrun and open water swim events outside of Canada and around the world. Canaqua Sports Open Water Swim Series

Open Water Swimming started it all. Since our very first event in Ontario, we have grown to where we now run events coast to coast, with distances ranging from 1K to 10K. Many of our events are run in conjunction with Mudskipper SwimRun Challenge events so as to give participants a wide range of option to choose from. Mudskipper SwimRun Challenge

SwimRun is growing around the world, and so is the Mudskipper SwimRun Challenge. As the premier SwimRun series in Canada we continue to add more events each year. For 2025 we are adding new events not only in Canada but we are also continuing to grow our events in the United States, and England.

Our events range from our Mudskipper Mini 6K races to our standard Mudskipper event with distances between 17 and 25K. Something for everyone. We invite you to come out and give our Mudskipper SwimRun events a try.

Mudskipper Championship Series - NEW FOR 2025

New for 2025, 4 championship events in 4 great locations. These events are longer and more challenging then your standard Mudskipper SwimRun.

Our Championship Races include:

St Donat Mudskipper Quebec SwimRun Championships July 27 – St Donat Quebec
Mudskipper Canadian Individual SwimRun Championships August 17 – Parry Sound On.
Sasamat Mudskipper Fresh and Salty B.C. Championships September 21 – Vancouver B.C.
Mudskipper U.S. Individual SwimRun Championships - September 28 – Deam Lake Indiana

15K Ultra Swim – NEW for 2025

Marathon swimming continues to grow in popularity. With more people looking towards a longer event, we have come up with our 15K Ultraswim event as our way of giving Marathon swimmers something a little extra.

For 2025, our 15K events are St Donat. July 27, Parry Sound August 17. Welland On. September 7 and Indiana September 28
